I hope that Scotland can once again takes its place amongst the dynamic economies of Europe.”

Michelle is the Managing Director of Business for Scotland, a pro-independence organisation of Scottish businesses with over 1400 members. She believes that Scotland has a bright future as an independent country and that its position within the UK is no longer sustainable.

Uncertainty is a constant and any good business must balance opportunities against the risks of not taking action,” she says.  “For too long, economic policies have not favoured Scotland nor encouraged the SME sector on which Scotland’s economic health depends.”

Michelle has a track record gained in 23 years of working in the financial services sector, before starting her own business in building up a portfolio of buy to let and corporate rental properties accessible through her trading company – Your Property Shop. In addition to running a successful business, she is an accomplished piano accompanist, experienced musical director and piano teacher.

In media and public speaking appearances for the campaign for independence, she has achieved wide recognition for the clarity and passion with which she presents the case for an economically successful independent Scotland.

I hope that Scotland can once again take its place amongst the dynamic economies of Europe,” says Michelle. “I have always been interested in making change happen. I believe that this is the opportunity of a lifetime to shape the destiny of our children and grandchildren.”
