Malcolm Wadia“Scotland has so much potential, but I believe that in order for a country to flourish it needs a government representative of, and therefore democratically accountable to, its people. It needs a government guaranteed to always work in the best interests of businesses in its key industries.

“I don’t think Westminster, by its very nature, can ever provide this.”

Malcolm is a chartered engineer and Director of PlySim, an engineering software house and composites engineering consultancy working in the wind energy, tidal energy and marine sectors in Scotland and around the world. After spending most of his career in the south of England, Malcolm moved back to Edinburgh to start PlySim.

He says “Scotland is the absolute centre, in particular, of the wave and tidal energy industries with more device developers based here than anywhere else and fantastic natural resources. Although a small industry at the moment, the potential for the future is huge.”
